THE HARWORTH AGRICULTURAL ESTATE CURRENTLY EXTENDS TO AROUND 13,000 ACRES, AND IS LET TO OVER 200 FARMING TENANTS. THIS ACREAGE IS DISPERSED ACROSS 14 COUNTIES, PRIMARILY IN THE MIDLANDS, YORKSHIRE AND THE NORTH EAST.
The estate includes arable farmland, grazing land and woodland, mostly in Durham, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Northumberland and Derbyshire. Aside from farm tenancies, it also includes approximately 30 agricultural-related residential properties and a number of fishing and shooting licences. Most of our agricultural portfolio is on former or prospective mining sites and we are always considering ways of enhancing value through our Natural Resources team - principally for low-carbon energy uses.
Harworth has appointed Savills as the sole managing agent of the agricultural estate. Any enquiries for available land should be directed to Andrew Taylor or Charles Richardson at the Savills York (Bootham) office:
