Land for Agricultural Uses
The Harworth agricultural estate currently extends to around 13,000 acres and is let to over 200 farming tenants. This acreage is dispersed across 14 counties, primarily in the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North East.
The estate includes arable farmland, grazing land and woodland, mostly in Durham, Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Northumberland and Derbyshire. Aside from farm tenancies, it also includes agricultural-related residential properties and a number of fishing and shooting licences. Most of our agricultural portfolio is on former mining sites and we are always considering ways of enhancing value through our Natural Resources team.

AFTERCARE
Part of Harworth’s Agricultural Estate encompasses 8 former opencast coalmines (totalling over 6400 acres) which have recently been returned to Harworth’s day to day management control from UKCRMR Ltd.
The sites are currently in their aftercare period and Harworth have appointed Fisher German as their managing agents to liaise with the various local authorities regarding the completion of their planning obligations and manage the various lettings across the sites.
