We are transforming the former Yorkshire Main Colliery in Doncaster in to a small residential community with a semi-rural feel, making the most of the site’s proximity to established suburbs and Edlington Pit Wood Country Park.
SITE OVERVIEW & VISION
The Warmsworth Gate site formed part of the Yorkshire Main Colliery. The site’s location places it within easy reach of the A1(M) and M18 and in close proximity to Doncaster town centre, a number of local and major train stations and Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
TRANSFORM, REGENERATE, REVITALISE
In 2015 we secured planning permission for 375 new homes and a family pub enabling us to begin delivering the vision to create a new residential community and potentially setting a new benchmark for housing quality in the immediate area.
Since securing planning consent, we have been undertaking technical due diligence to inform the strategy for preparing the land for development. This, in turn, will enable land parcels to be sold to housebuilders in phases.
OPPORTUNITIES & ENQUIRIES
In 2018 we began the process of actively seeking housebuilder interest by undertaking a soft market testing exercise which is an important pre-curser to marketing the site for sale. Our intention is to market the site for sale in late 2018 or early 2019.
