We are expert in masterplanning residential development, leading to the securing of planning consent and the remediation of land in order for sites to be delivered ‘oven ready’ to housebuilders. Our Strategic Land team has secured outline planning consent for over 11,000 new homes since 2008, with over 10,000 still under Harworth’s ownership.
This land is then converted into some of the UK’s best brownfield development. In the case of our flagship Waverley development, we have transformed a former opencast mine into a prestigious new development, with 450 homes now built and occupied within an outline planning consent of 4,000 homes alongside the world-renowned Advanced Manufacturing Park.
As with our commercial land, we are opening up more sites to provide a continuous delivery programme across a range of locations. 2015 saw us open up sites in Nottingham, Barnsley, Pontefract and Blyth in Northumberland as part of our contribution to delivering the housing numbers the UK urgently needs.
