Skills and Experience

Ruth is Chief Executive of GreenSquareAccord, a housing association operating across the North, Midlands and South West. She was previously Finance Director (2008 to 2012) and then Chief Executive (2012 to 2018) of Midland Heart, the housing association group operating across Central England. Prior to that, she held senior finance and resourcing roles at Knightstone, a housing association based in the South West, and Anchor Trust, a provider of housing and care to those aged 55 years old and above. Ruth has held a number of voluntary and non-executive positions in the social housing and retirement community sector. She is currently Vice-Chair of the National Housing Federation and Vice Chair the West Midlands Housing Association Partnership. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Chartered Corporate Treasurer.
