The Countdown to UKREiiF has begun!

The time has come, and the countdown to UKREiiF is officially underway. In just a matter of weeks, we will be returning for our fourth year. We have a pavilion programme packed with panels, industry- led discussions and networking opportunities where we are tackling the big questions on delivering large scale regeneration, accelerating UK industry, and unlocking investment for the place of tomorrow.

This year, we are using the development of Waverley and the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham as a model for success – demonstrating how strategic master-planning can drive productivity, economic growth, and innovation. Join us as we explore how the public and private sectors can collaborate to create thriving sustainable communities.

16:30 – 17:30 | A Harworth x MHCLG Fireside Chat: Delivering economic growth through New Settlements – Who, How, Where and When?

Join two leading voices in the world of regeneration and housing delivery for an in-depth discussion about what has stymied the UK’s housing agenda for so long and what’s actually going to change to deliver housing-led economic growth over the coming years. Cathy Francis (Director for New Towns, Infrastructure & Housing Delivery, MHCLG) and Lynda Shillaw (Chief Executive at Harworth, one of the UK’s leading land and regeneration businesses) debate the key factors that will drive successful outcomes, and the critical role of public-private collaboration in doing so.

09:00-10:00 – Delivering places for future generations – what are the building blocks?

What does it take to deliver homes and industrial spaces at scale? Experts will unpack the foundations of successful places, the role of national infrastructure bodies, and how Government policies can drive regeneration.

11:00-12:00 – Driving industrial growth through successful public-private collaboration

How can collaboration between Government and industry drive the full potential of UK sectors like advanced manufacturing and life sciences? Join us for a deep dive into strategic industrial policy, investment drivers, and the role of devolution in shaping the future.

13:00-14:30 Master-planned communities – what do they really cost to deliver?

What is the true cost of delivering new settlements? This is an important question for the Government if they are to oversee delivery of 1.5m new homes over the next 4 years. Building on research by Knight Frank and supported by Harworth, join the discussion on viability, infrastructure and other challenges that will be encountered by the Government and developers in delivering master-planned communities.

15:30-16:30 Planning for Employment Growth: The Devolution Agenda and the Future Review of the NPPF

Plus catch Harworth’s Chief Executive, Lynda Shillaw, speaking at:

1. Building the Future – Investment, innovation and sustainability in UK industries Tuesday, 20th May 14:00-15:00, Dockside Pavilion

2. Behind the scenes on UK Devolution, Thursday, 22nd May 09:30-10:30, Bury Theatre.
