Harworth Group Plc, a leading regeneration and strategic landowner and developer, is pleased to announce that it has secured reserved matters planning consent for two new warehouse units with building heights of 40-metres at units A & B, the two largest buildings at its Chatterley Park development in Stoke-on-Trent.
Chatterley Park will be one of the few industrial & logistics sites in the UK to offer units capable of this height and flexibility, positioning the scheme as one of the premier destinations for advanced logistics and high-bay automation.
Units A & B, which will comprise a total of 777,700 sq ft of Grade A space, have been sensitively designed to integrate within the surrounding landscape, while delivering maximum operational flexibility and future-proofed operations for prospective occupiers. Once complete, Chatterley Park is expected to deliver 1.2 million sq ft of high-quality space and support approximately 1,700 new jobs, reinforcing the area’s reputation as a hub for logistics and centre of manufacturing excellence.
Strategically located adjacent to the A500, just one mile from Junction 16 of the M6, Chatterley Park will provide excellent connectivity to the Midlands, North West, and Wales. Design and build opportunities on the site range from 25,000 to 518,000 sq ft with a target of BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating.
Stuart Murray, National Customer Development and Leasing Director at Harworth said:
“This milestone unlocks huge potential at Chatterley Park, which will stand at the forefront of industrial & logistics development in the UK. By enabling 40-metre building height, we are unlocking unparalleled capacity for prospective occupiers, with the potential to support cutting-edge automation and advanced logistics solutions. Alongside key features like 15 MVA power secured and high level of floor loading, this project is about creating sustainable, sympathetically designed spaces, attracting forward-thinking businesses, and delivering long-term economic benefits to the region.”
