DEVELOPMENT SURVEYOR (LEEDS OR ROTHERHAM OFFICE)
As a Development Surveyor you will work to identify potential direct residential development opportunities across the Harworth portfolio and manage the delivery of those projects across Harworth’s three operating regions. The role will undertake market research into the value proposition and depth of market for alternative tenures across Harworth’s pipeline and input into the delivery strategy for the direct delivery of the proposed development. The role involves the preparation of appraisals for the self-development of land parcels by Harworth for a range of tenures and product types; input into the development of the business case to support direct residential development; assist in the governance programme to seek approval of the same; and assist in the development of the acquisition strategy for new sites being acquired by Harworth from a self-delivery/alternative tenure perspective.
GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (ROTHERHAM OFFICE)
This position is maternity cover for our Group Financial Accountant, reporting into the Head of Finance and Reporting and managing two direct reports. As a rapidly growing business this position offers scope to develop your skills in a varied role including financial accounts, tax compliance and ad hoc projects.
DEVELOPMENT PLANNER (MANCHESTER OFFICE)
As our Development Planner you will work closely with the Regional Head of Planning and the wider North West team to ensure that our development sites are promoted through the planning process. This includes project managing new and existing development schemes through the planning process, from securing site allocation to negotiating satisfactory S106 agreements and planning conditions to achieve satisfactory planning consent. In addition, you will work with Development Managers to coordinate delivery of sites including advising on strategy in relation to Reserved Matters, discharge of conditions and legal agreements.
TECHNICAL SURVEYOR (LEEDS OR ROTHERHAM OFFICE)
Reporting to the Project Manager Acquisitions, this role requires engineering, technical and environmental due diligence on a range of challenging sites as part of the process of providing cost effective development platforms. The role supports the wider team in the development of solutions, management and coordination of technical solutions for site remediation, serviced plot developments including liaison with external consultants, contractors, project managers and specialist external consultants as well as statutory/regulatory bodies and Local Authorities. The key focus of the role will be supporting the early-stage technical due diligence required to identify and produce effective ground remediation, delivery and servicing strategies for large complex sites.
GROUP INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER (ROTHERHAM OFFICE)
Working to establish and then manage the Group’s internal audit function which will include defining the scope of its roles and responsibilities. The role will devise a rolling further assurance programme and associated resourcing plan, to be approved annually by the Audit Committee, which is informed by the evolving profile of the Group Risk and Assurance Map and covers all significant auditable controls across the business. It is anticipated this will include internal audit visits, system audits, and other assurance assignments. The role will undertake and manage the aforesaid assurance programme which will include completing internal workstreams as well as instructing specialist and supplemental external resource where necessary, ensuring all assurance work is delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget.
GROUP TAX ACCOUNTANT (ROTHERHAM OFFICE)
The Group Tax Accountant will undertake a varied role focused upon tax compliance and efficiency for all property and wider taxes across the Group, including VAT, Corporation tax, capital allowances, SDLT. You will play an integral role within the finance team, reporting into the Head of Finance and Reporting. Responsible for all UK taxes across the Group, with particular emphasis on corporation tax and VAT compliance and planning, including the preparation and filing of applicable tax returns, to ensure Group compliance.
ESTATES AND INFRASTRUCTURE SURVEYOR (MANCHESTER OFFICE)
To support the Estates Manager in undertaking estates management of sites falling outside of live project delivery boundaries and supporting the Project Managers and Technical Director where necessary as part of project delivery. Including regular site inspections and identification of remedial and minor works, identify any risks at sites and put measures in place to mitigate these risks. You will oversee any site restoration aftercare, if and as required, including producing the relevant reports and liaising with the relevant authorities.
