Skills and Experience

Tony brings extensive executive and non-executive UK plc experience from a career spanning the retail, energy, renewables, technology and industrial sectors. He has a strong track record in corporate governance, M&A, business transformation, major infrastructure development and equity raising. Tony was previously Chief Executive Officer of Laird plc, where he led a successful turnaround and subsequent sale of the business in 2018. Prior to that, he served as Group Finance Director of Drax Group plc. Currently, Tony is Chair of NextEnergy Solar Fund, the specialist solar energy and energy storage investment company, and serves as Senior Independent Director on the Boards of FTSE 250 constituents Costain Group plc and Hill & Smith plc.
