Harworth Estates have today been named as the number one Small & Medium-sized business in the Sheffield City Region, based on a list compiled by the Sheffield Star and Barber Harrison & Platt.
This listing was in recognition for both the continuing growth of the company – evidenced by a dozen new appointments over the past 12 months – and the continued development of Waverley – Yorkshire’s largest ever mixed used brownfield development. This is in a week when the company practically completed Units 3 and 4 of R-evolution on behalf of Rotherham MBC – the next stage of commercial development at the Advanced Manufacturing Park.
Harworth is one of over 30,000 SMEs in Sheffield City Region, contributing massively to the region’s near £30bn annual output. The list recognised that new jobs created and overall profits have both risen in 2014, reflecting improved market confidence and trading conditions in a number of sectors.
Another AMP occupier, precision machining firm X-cel Superturn, also made it onto the list at number 7. The list can be found here.
