Harworth Secures Two New Lettings at Its Midlands Business Parks

Harworth Group plc, a leading land regeneration and property investment specialist, announces that it has secured two new lettings at Sinfin Commercial Park in Derby and Melton Commercial Park in Melton Mowbray, in the Midlands.

At Melton Commercial Park in Leicestershire, storage company Optima Storage Solutions Limited has signed a 15-year lease for 0.49 acres of land for container storage. Two miles from Melton Mowbray, the rail-connected site has circa 16 acres of remaining storage space, as well as a number of existing industrial and office units ranging from 1,335 sq ft to 1,830 sq ft.

At Sinfin Commercial Park, Henard (Edmonton) Limited has agreed an initial one-year lease for 0.78 acres of hardstanding storage space to operate its HGV training courses and for overnight parking. Located just three miles from Derby City Centre, the park has over 15 tenants, including Network Rail and Morgan Technical Ceramics. A modern 63,337 sq ft commercial warehouse remains available for immediate occupation, alongside over five acres of hardstanding open storage space.

“These two lettings form part of our ongoing strategy to improve the Company’s recurring income base. Both sites continue be sought after locations for local SMEs seeking good quality, well connected and competitively priced industrial units and open storage land.”

Chris Wright, Associate Director, Innes England, commented:

“The industrial market continues to go from strength to strength and as a result we are seeing strong demand for open storage sites on Business Parks. Virtually all the immediately available open storage land is now occupied at both Sinfin and Melton commercial parks, meaning further options are required. “Harworth, who specialise in regeneration and delivering key employment sites, are now looking to remediate the last 16 acres at Melton Commercial Park. This regular shaped site offers a rare occupier opportunity where subject to covenant and terms we can provide a site bespoke to a tenant’s requirements.”

“These deals underline the continued interest from a wide range of tenants at the Harworth business parks at Sinfin and Melton, which continue to enjoy high occupancy rates across a variety of business sectors.”
