Harworth Estates has signed three leases at one of its business parks in Leicestershire, reflecting increased business confidence in the Midlands.
At Asfordby Business Park near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, Harworth has leased:
- Units C1, C1A, C2B and Plots 7, 9 & 11, comprising 15,575 sq ft of buildings and 3.13 acres of land, to S&J European Haulage Ltd, a Leicestershire-based haulage company that provides services to the UK and Ireland. The lease is a renewal for a 10 year term.
- Unit D with Yard, comprising 2,156 sq ft of buildings and 0.7 acres of land, also to S&J European Haulage Ltd. The lease is a renewal for a 10 year term.
- Plot 7a, comprising 0.226 acres of land, to TT Services (UK) Ltd, a fabrication company that plans to use the land for additional storage to its existing space at unit C2A. The lease is for four years.
Asfordby Business Park is located to the east of Melton Mowbray and is less than half an hour from the M1. It is one of the few sites in the Midlands with an on-site rail connection. The three lease agreements show the continued interest in Harworth’s business park space after the commencement of more than £1 million of capital expenditure works for improvements such as superfast broadband and high-quality landscaping at their sites across the north of England and the Midlands.

Gavin Webb, Surveyor at Lambert Smith Hampton, who brokered the lease to TT Services, commented: “We are seeing a continuing increase in demand for commercial premises and storage land across the East Midlands, which is evidenced by the recent lettings we have completed at Asfordby Business Park. Harworth Estates have space available at their business parks throughout the region, each of which provide good quality accommodation with strong transport links.”
