Harworth were victorious in two categories at the 2018 Variety Yorkshire Property awards last night, collecting both the ‘Game Changing Development’ and ‘Industrial Deal of the Year’ award.
On Thursday May 10th, members of the Harworth team and their guests attended the 2018 Yorkshire Property Awards – this year held at the Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate – and were victorious in picking up the ‘Game Changing Development’ award for the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) site at Waverley and the ‘Industrial Deal of the Year’ for the Gateway 36 development at Barnsley.
100 industry professionals independently voted on the winner for the Game Changer award, and this was largely credited to the AMP’s regional/national significance and its ability to attract some of the UK’s biggest manufacturing companies such as Rolls Royce and McLaren which are now acting as a magnet to further attract other leading companies to the region. Harworth’s collaboration with the Local authorities was also noted along with the wider employment and financial benefits that the AMP is driving.
The Gateway 36 site was deemed to be the winner due to the deals that have been completed on the site in the last 12 months including the sub-lettings of the three speculative R-Evolution units and also letting out the Helix unit to MotorDepot, all at impressive headline rents for the area.
Next week, Harworth will be attending the Insider North West Property awards where Harworth are finalists in four categories.
