Following on from last week’s award success, last night, Harworth were victorious in picking up the ‘Public / Private Partnership of the Year’ award at the 2018 Insider North West Property Awards.
The 2018 Insider North West Property awards were last night held at Manchester Central with over 1,000 guests in attendance in anticipation of winning an award at the popular industry event. Harworth Group were victorious on the evening, collecting the ‘Public/Private Partnership of the Year’ award for their joint venture with Lancashire County Pension Fund to deliver Multiply Logistics North at the flagship logistics site in Bolton.
The partnership with Lancashire County Pension Fund in May 2017 has allowed Harworth to build out the remainder of Logistics North with 564,000 sq ft of new commercial space. By the end of 2017, 3 units totalling 164,000 sq ft had been built by the partnership and ready for occupation. Phase 2 of Multiply is currently under construction and will be ready for leasing in Q4 2018. When the full Multiply scheme is developed – 10 units in total – it has the potential to add 1,000 new jobs to the existing site, where 2,500 people are already employed, in addition to generating over £50m of Gross Added Value to the region.
The award comes just one week after Harworth were successful in winning two awards at the Variety Yorkshire Property awards event held in Harrogate.
