Harworth Group plc, a leading regenerator of land and property for development and investment, has completed the construction of a Costa Ltd drive-thru at its Riverdale Park scheme in Doncaster as the regeneration of the former McCormick Tractor Factory progresses.
Costa has entered into a 15-year lease with Harworth on the 1,800 sq. ft unit, supporting the ongoing growth of Harworth’s income portfolio. The unit was built by JP Wild on Harworth’s behalf; Burnley Wilson Fish acted as Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent.
Harworth also remains on-track to deliver a similar drive-thru unit to Costa at its headquarters, Advantage House, in Rotherham by mid-November. Costa will enter into a 15-year lease on completion of the unit, which is being constructed by HP Construction on Harworth’s behalf.
Harworth continues to make good progress on the remainder of the development at Riverdale Park, where it has planning consent for 600 homes and 250,000 sq. ft of commercial space. As part of the first phase, which comprises an 11.4 are site, Barratt Homes has already built around 50 new homes, with a total of 191 homes expected to be built by the housebuilder over the next eighteen months. Taylor Wimpey also plans to start the construction of its 145-unit Wheatley Hall Mews development, the site’s second phase, by the end of the calendar year.
As part of its ongoing placemaking work at Riverdale Park, Harworth has also continued to invest in new infrastructure including the construction of new estate roads, services and the site’s principal Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS).
