Logistics North Identified as Fifth Largest Planning Permission in UK

A recent article by independent planning magazine Planning Resource has identified Harworth Estates’ Logistics North scheme as the fifth largest commercial and industrial permission across the entire UK.

With 4m sq. ft of employment space consented in November 2013 on the site of the former Cutacre surface mine, the development is the second largest live industrial permission in the North West and is bigger than two of London’s key developments, King’s Cross Central and the redevelopment of the Greenwich Peninsula.

The full list of permissions can be found on the Planning Resource website here.

Aldi are already confirmed as anchor tenant on the site, with plans to move its regional distribution centre to a 35 acre plot on the site.  The remainder of the year will see construction works begin, creating a development platform for the development’s future units.
