Harworth Supports Global Manufacturing Festival @ the AMP

Harworth Estates is actively supporting Sheffield’s Global Manufacturing Festival at its flagship Waverley development as part of the UK’s International Festival for Business 2014.

The Festival, being held on the 25th of June at the University of Sheffield’s state-of-the-art AMRC Training Centre that opened in January, is a key conference and trade show that exhibits the best of advanced manufacturing in Britain and connects world-leading employers with a predominantly SME supply chain.

Its Trade Show focuses on premium quality exhibitors for the advanced manufacturing and materials industry that are critical to the UK’s success.  This is being complimented by bespoke break-out presentations and case studies by prestigious speakers from industry – including topics on automotive, energy, aerospace, oil and gas – with technical hands-on sessions taking place in the afternoon.

Key manufacturing-related employers at Waverley, such as Boeing, Rolls-Royce and the University of Sheffield, are at the forefront of Britain’s manufacturing revival, with components for the Dreamliner and the Bloodhound SSC being machined on-site.  Harworth Estimates that Waverley will eventually add between £150-£200m of Gross Value Added to the local economy once fully built-out over the next two decades.
